OUTREACH & ENGAGEMENT OFFICER FOR THE BALLYFERMOT CHAPELIZOD
PARTNERSHIP - THE PERSON
The Ballyfermot Chapelizod Partnership is seeking to appoint to our
team a person with a passion for communications, outreach to and
engagement with communities experiencing marginalisation and
disadvantage. The role has a dual purpose of supporting and
facilitating the development of local community groups as well as an
emphasis on networking and information sharing throughout the
community to raise awareness of and promote engagement in, the wide
range of programmes available to members of the community through the
Ballyfermot Chapelizod Partnership.
The successful candidate will be passionate about working with
individuals and communities to combat poverty, marginalisation and
disadvantage. They will have a third level qualification in community
development, communications, social sciences or a related field is
along with a minimum of 1 years? experience of working in an
outreach or developmental capacity.
This person will be a self-starter with a strong ability to work on
their own initiative, skilled in networking and communications both
internally within an organisation and externally with a wide range of
stakeholders. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and a
strong understanding of the principals of community development and an
understanding of capacity building within community organisations

requirements associated with working with statutory agencies and the
protection of public funds. They will be required to understand accept
and promote the social inclusion ethos of the company.
